In one of those rare moments in Freemasonry, Brother David Wood followed his father into the Chair of King Solomon to
WBros Fred Wood and David Wood
become the 40th Worshipful Master of Innsworth Lodge. The lodge room was packed on the 24th September with Brethren from over 20 lodges within and beyond the province, who had gathered in Gloucester to witness the Worshipful Master, W Bro Fred Wood, install his son Bro David Wood as his successor.
Speaking at dinner after the ceremony, W Bro Fred spoke of his pride in seeing his son become Master of Innsworth Lodge and doubly so because as the outgoing Worshipful Master it meant that he was able to perform the Ceremony. In his initial speech W Bro David thanked his Dad adding that he was overwhelmed by the events of the evening and looked forward to a full and eventful year ahead.
